- Exercising with earphones is a serious pain due to problems with sound quality and earbuds falling out
- The RHA TrueConnect Wireless Earbuds are an outstanding product for even the heaviest workout
Have you ever heard of Ruggles? It might be a strange place to test out the RHA TrueConnect Wireless Earbuds.
Well, it is a place in Boston I sometimes go to exercise in. The thing about Ruggles is that it is insanely windy (coming from Ireland means I have special expertise in this) and trying to listen to music while exercising there is pretty much impossible. Given COVID-19, more and more people are looking for workout products, I actually rounded up three of these products recently (read here).
My experience to date can be summed up as: (i) wired earphones keep falling out of my ears, while (ii) every brand of earbuds I’ve tried haven’t been up to scratch, either for sound, or for again, staying in my ears.
At the upper end of the price scale, Apple’s EarPods ($139.99) have always fallen out of my ears while exercising. Meanwhile at the lower end of the price range ($69.99), Airtime Pro has been quite possibly the worst earbuds I’ve ever had the misfortune of using.
Step forward the RHA TrueConnect Wireless Earbuds.
Key Info:
- Priced at $169.95
- 25 hour battery
- Quick recharge – 50% in 15 minutes
- Sweatproof and weatherproof
- Aluminum charging case
- Bluetooth 5 connection
First thing you’ll notice when you open the box is the range of selection you have for finding the perfect fit for your ears, which is ten in total, meaning they will fit any ear.
Putting the earbuds in, you really notice how light they feel (at just 7g), but also how sturdy they feel in your ears.
Meanwhile, charging-wise it relies on a USB-C port, meaning it charges really, really fast, they last five hours on charge, while the case provides an extra 20 hours also.
Sound is of a very high quality, matched by a Bluetooth connection which has not dropped once for me since testing them extensively. The sound is crisp without drowning everything else out, while the control system is intuitive and easy to use.
Can You Workout With RHA TrueConnect Earbuds?
Worried about your earbuds or headphones falling off during a strenuous run? Smashing jumping jacks? Hitting the skipping rope heavily?
The RHA TrueConnect Wireless Earbuds simply do not fall out of your ears. Ever. In fact, the only time they did was when I clumsily knocked them out by accident but they’re very well built to ensure no damage was done.
A great feature is that they earbuds are also sweatproof too. They are never dripping with sweat, nor smell, while regardless of the weather they aren’t affected either. They work so well that I don’t think I’ll ever need another pair of earbuds for workouts.
Rating:
The RHA TrueConnect Wireless Earbuds are simply outstanding and well worth the purchase.
For workouts there are no better earbuds out there.
