And so the news is finally out. With massive thanks to the fantastic team at A State Of Mind, The Smart Money podcast has launched. I will be hosting the monthly podcast and you can subscribe not just to this podcast but all of A State Of Mind’s excellent content here on YouTube.
I alluded to the exciting news regarding The Smart Money podcast in a recent post celebrating my one-year anniversary of living in Boston (and getting up to speed on Boston’s sports scene – spoiler: it’s intense).
The announcement formally went out on Colin Watt’s excellent Football Insomniac podcast – check that episode out here (as well as below). Be sure to check out the Football Insomniac every Wednesday too, Colin’s a great host with loads of interesting topics and guests.
I joined along with The Endless Celts podcast host and founder, Stephen Tomlinson – again, another quality podcast for all things related to Celtic. Our conversation covered the potential appointment of none other than Roy Keane as Celtic manager and the potential change in structure to the underage game in Scotland. To say I’m stunned, mixed with an insane amount of excitement, is the biggest understatement I’ve ever made on Business Of Sport regarding The Smart Money podcast.
The Smart Money Podcast
- Monthly podcast, (aiming for the third Friday of each month)
- Focused on the business of football
- Hoping to interview interesting characters from the world of football
- Going beyond the day-to-day tumult of football and looking at big ticket items affecting the game
So what does this mean for Business Of Sport itself?
Nothing will change at all. You’ll still be able to read content about non-football/soccer topics like the XFL (in detail, and more detail, and even more detail if you want) and a host of other issues. Instead, I’m likely to be creating more content than ever before based on the conversations during The Smart Money Podcast and will drop them before the next episode.
